WHO WE ARE
Established in 2015, Toronto North Couture, or TNC for short is an international platform to educate, inspire, and promote emerging talent in the Canadian fashion industry.
TNC’s mission is to help emerging designers step out of the shadows and into a bright future in the fashion industry. Connecting a diverse audience of seasoned industry professionals with up and coming talent, we’re bridging gaps for Canada’s designers to get ready to hit the international stage.
TNC was founded by Linda Parentela Vercillo, an industry veteran in fashion and event planning. With over 20 years of experience, and a keen eye for details, her company Tra Di Noi Event Management (Italian for “between us”) is a trusted event planning company. Bringing intimacy, passion, and magic to every event they do, from weddings to the monthly event series Apres Noir. During the luxurious Apres Noir event, Linda coordinated and provided creative direction for a fashion exhibit opening an evening of fine dining, with performances by Robin Thicke, Jennifer Hudson and Bob Saget.
Over the last 6 years, Linda has bridged connections between the Canadian and Italian fashion industry, spearheading initiatives for fashion students including fashion tours for the Haute Couture Academy of Fashion, Fine Arts & Design, George Brown and Ryerson Fashion programs as well as fashion shows, and preparing emerging fashion designers with business acumen to find their footing in the industry.
